Company Schöneweiss & Co. GmbH belongs to the worldwide operating CIE Automotive.
In the technology of hot forging, the group has a total of 18 worldwide operations.
We have specialized in closed die forgings for safety critical applications and with complex designs. For the Truck Industry and for parts with special requirements we are a strong partner to our customers. In applications with high requirements when optimized design, ideal grain flow and highest quality are mandatory, our components are performing with perfect function, durability and robustness.

HISTORY

In 1866 Mr. Gustav Schöneweiss founded the first location as company “Gustav Schöneweiss”.

 

In 1897 on the current ground in Ambrock the company, Winkhaus Hassel & Co. GmbH was founded and in 1900 both companies merged.

 

Since 1926 the production portfolio changed towards closed die forgings for the automotive industry. The portfolio was presented on the IAA in Berlin 1928.

In 1935 after a further extension of the plant, the company was transformed into the current legal structure “Schöneweiss & Co. GmbH”. Also on the international Auto Salon in Paris the portfolio was presented.

In 2007 Schöneweiss & Co. GmbH was integrated into the MFA Inc.

Since 2013 Schöneweiss & Co. GmbH belongs to the CIE Automotive Inc.

Schöneweiss has more than 150 years of experience in diversified processes and production methods.
